Amarantyne Designs Ltd was established to specialise in the production of high quality GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) products for the construction industry and social housing markets both in new build and refurbishment.
We have been involved with the GRP industry for over 35 years and with an experienced team involved within Amarantyne Designs, we specialise in a wide range of GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) products for various sectors. This includes the Construction industry, the Social Housing market, Water Authorities, Refurbishment sectors and from assisting the individual home-owner, right through to working closely with some of the UK’s leading house builders in supplying them with our architectural products.
The range of GRP products produced by Amarantyne Designs, are produced by hand, by skilled staff with many years of experience in the composites industry. This ensures close attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process and provides the ability to accommodate a range of site requirements when in production.
The numerous designs are based upon many years of continuous development and our products are in use throughout the UK on all styles of buildings, from a be-spoke residence to housing developments.
The materials used within the manufacturing process are themselves high quality raw materials; the polyester resin, which is a main component in the products, is Lloyds-approved and as such, is utilized in the boat-building industry for such elements as the hulls & superstructure on the multi-million pound yachts. For those products requiring an increased specification, there are additional resins and composite raw materials we use and these include Class ‘0’ & ‘1’ fire-ratings. The resins are used in conjunction with a coloured ultra-violet-stable gel coat (providing the external moulded finish evident on the canopies) and ensures a fully watertight structure.
We pride ourselves on being able to carry out the vast majority of our works in-house, from our design department, through to our pattern shop, where we’re able to fabricate our client’s particular designs. From these, the production tooling is then made, ready for subsequent manufacture by our skilled team of laminators and trimmers.
